Author/musician/composer/singer Candido Bretto, also known as “The Candy Man” in his spare time, provides entertainment for many nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. The Candy Man has a unique way of reaching senior populations because, for over 5 years, He worked in the activities department of an adult day care center on Boston’s South Shore, giving him a unique perspective that not many other entertainers possess.

Mr. Bretto is the father of violin maker Marcus Bretto, is also the founder of PartyBands.com “A Champion Of Live Performers” and PlymouthRock.org an historic classroom musical based on “The Secrets of Plymouth Rock” by Diane Finn.

Candido Bretto is also the author of a magical children’s book called, “The Falling Star Repairman.” It’s beautifully illustrated by New Zealand’s Maddy Moore and inspired by a Duxbury, Massachusetts resident named Elmer Mendes. If you have grandchildren, this is a book they’ll ask for over and over again at bedtime. It’s a read aloud tale of heroes and has all 5 star reviews on Amazon!
